Barca, Xavi, Cesc & MEDIA

I get tired as much as all Arsenal fans do with the Cesc to Barca stories; and it seems with every international break, which is becoming long and hard to tolerate, there is always a roll out of Cesc to Barca news.

Barcelona as a club are fascinated with Arsenal players; maybe because we play the same sort of football as they do, in recent years the following Arsenal players have joined them, Hleb, Henry, Van Bronchost, Petit and Overmars; That's five players directly going from Arsenal to Barca in the last nine years alone, while just Fabregas and Merida have made the trip over and they were kids when they joined. Pique did the return ticket trip from Barca to Man utd; Gudjohsen went from Chelsea to Barca while Petit joined Chelsea from the blaugrana; for Liverpool Luis Garcia is the only deal in this time frame. I believe Arsenal have a good or better relationship with Barca but maybe that's not always a good thing.

We as a club should be happy in a way that one of our rivals for European domination, can't help but have sleepless nights about our players, shame they don't want Almunia, but their track record of actually getting our players should give us reason to worry. If Yaya Toure leaves as all the papers are saying; which very improved defensive midfield player who plays for an English club and do you think Barca will want to sign? Hint: Not Lucas. Barca's scouting technique is simple and one that I admire - What player does Arsenal have in that position? Henry? Yes sign him uh Hleb? Very sexy football yes please! Almunia? Ah, maybe we'll stick to Valdes for now see if that Mannone guy becomes good.

I don't want Cesc to leave Arsenal but I believe it's inevitable he'll leave. I might get abuse from Arsenal fans here but I don't see anything wrong in what Xavi did; considering Xavi's statement might have been doctored by the press.

Footballers do this all the time and yes even the ones at Arsenal. It's the same when Kolo was saying he wants his brother [Yaya] to come to the gooners, before he quickly took the Arab money and is now dreaming of his brother at City - if he stopped dreaming of his brother perhaps things could have been different.

Imagine how the Valencia fans felt when Cesc was asking for Arsene Wenger to sign Villa in the press; I'm sure there was outrage of course. I'm sure if Dos Santos amounted to anything Carlos Vela would be dreaming of him at Arsenal. Remember Van Persie and Babel, remember how the press were churning out stories of Cesc wants Arshavin, Usmanov wants Arshavin, Nasri wants Arshavin, Arsenal cleaning lady wants Arshavin.

Players do this all the time; all these French players we bought ever wandered what Henry's role was in them - little phone calls here and there - even Theo; he definitely spoke to his hero, Henry, before joining. Remember the Henry wants Ribery at Arsenal stories and the Ribery talked to Henry about Arsenal stories.

I know I WILL get disapproval from Arsenal fans but sorry all players do it.

In the end, we have to look at what Cesc is saying and forget all the media crap; Cesc again and again has said he loves Arsenal and feels at home here. We have to listen to our captain for once, forget the media crap and just believe him or even better lets enjoy the lovely football that he champions while we have the chance and forget all the other nonsense; if the player is not unsettled why should the fans be?

To think of it, it's not entirely his decision if he stays or goes; the offer Barca make will also be very important - remember Kaka.
