Both Arsenal and the fans were class last night..

Even thou people might say that it was only Olympiakos last night,
Arsenal really showed there class.I haven't enjoyed watching a game like that for age's.Every pass that was made seemed to stick and there was a gutsy determination to win at all costs.Even when chance after chance went astray,The team didn't lose there heads and stayed cool and eventually got the goals we deserved.

Because if it were not for Greek goalkeeper Antonis Nikopolidis,
We would have scored 10.If you think Mannone performance was good at the weekend, you should have seen this guy.We started the first half with great pace and we could have scored early.Fabregas had a delicious well driven shot smack the bar, The rebound was surely going to be put in.Van persie laid it off to Rosicky who then had his shot somehow saved by the long stretching Nikopolidis.We were really starting to knock on the door.We had shot after shot corner after corner and still no goal.

Halftime somehow finished 0-0 and i wasn't worried. the goal will come surely I'm thinking.

As the 2nd half began,
Arsenal had a real scare as Olef Melberg Had a fine header saved by the impressive Mannone.Even thou the Greeks started well we started to take over the game again and like the first half again the 38yr old keeper was keeping Arsenal at bay time and time again.Frustration was starting to creep in from the fans.But the players kept there cool.Then finally on the 78th Minute Arsenal broke the deadlock.Fabregas sent a wonderful ball that found Eduardo in space and he then layed the ball in to Rvp path and there it was.

"1-0 to the Arsenal,1-0 to the Arsenal." was that famous cry from the fans.

Fabregas then played a wonderful ball to Arshavin who appeared to me to be well offside.But much to my amazement,
the flag didn't go up and he finished with a well taken cheeky back heel.It was offside,but it was no more then we deserved anyway.

Thank god for that.
There was no way we could have drawn this one the way we played.That would have been a bigger robbery then them Jewel thieves down bond street.
Great performance by Arsenal and i like the fact we didn't give up and showed some real character last night.

Can i say that i felt the fans helped that result as well,
The noise that was being made in the north bank upper tier was great and even the other parts of the ground was generally noisy.Keep it up gooners.
